  4.   Basic requirements to run GRUNT:
  5.     ■ 4mb RAM.
  6.     ■ 285k bytes of free memory.
  7.     ■ MS-DOS 5.0+ or WIN '95 DOS.
  8.     ■ 5mb Hard Disk Space.
  9.     ■ BNU fossil driver [if using GRUNT for BBS "DOOR" usage]

  11.   Grunt supports the following networks and/or operating systems:
  12.      ■ Novell 3.12+
  13.      ■ Lantastic 4.0+
  14.      ■ BanYan Vines
  15.      ■ MicroSoft Network
  16.      ■ DesqView [all versions]
  17.      ■ Windows 3.1 and Windows '95

  21.   NETWORKING: HOW DOES GRUNT WORK UNDER ALL O/S SYSTEMS?
  22.   ───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

  24.   Grunt does not need any networking software. The MS-DOS program
  25.   "SHARE.EXE" is not required to run Grunt. While Grunt requires any
  26.   machine it is running on to be of MS-DOS version 5.0 or higher with the
  27.   above referenced specs, it does not require any special configuration
  28.   for running over a network.

  30.   Grunt will always assume you are running on a network. It's performance
  31.   will not be effected if you are running a single node [local], or 15
  32.   nodes through a network. It will, however, have a performance loss as
  33.   more nodes are added. On a Pentium 175 running Novell 3.12, 25 nodes
  34.   playing at the same time can be thrilling. However, slower machines may
  35.   require more CPU usage and hard drive seek/read/writes, hense causing
  36.   network-wide slowdown.

  38.   You may run Grunt locally, through a BBS, Windows 3.1 or Windows'95,
  39.   locally across a network such as Novell or Lantastic. Grunt will take
  40.   care of all logins and logouts to Grunt and keep track of all users
  41.   playing Grunt at the same time. If any problems occur in the networking
  42.   (stored in the DUNGEON directory as NETWORK.SYS), running CLEANUP.EXE
  43.   will cleanse and restore Grunt to normal functioning capacity. (Please
  44.   refer to the CLEANUP section of the HELP documentation/system.)
